Fly South Retail Sales Associate Job Description
Fly South is seeking a retail sales associate with experience in inventory management and point-of-sale operation, as well as a drive to move the sales needle for a fast paced fly shop and outdoor goods store. Experience selling outdoor goods preferred, experience fly fishing is a bonus but not required.

Retail Sales Associate Job Responsibilities: The entire Fly South team focuses on sales and customer service to ensure everyone who comes through our door receives the attention and sales drive that serves the customer need and store success. In short, you must love selling. All associates also have an individual responsibility for store operations, ranging from inventory management and stocking to special order management, and merchandising oversight.
All associates must understand the following requirements:
Greet customers and demonstrate excellent customer service skills.
Help customers select products, answer questions, and share product knowledge.
Create or update customer profile records.
Process customer purchases and returns.
Alert management of potential security issues.
Assist with inventory, including receiving and stocking merchandise.
Fulfill responsibilities with the store opening and closing process.
This position will work a five-day work week including a rotation of Saturday shifts. We begin work at 8:45 and typically wrap up by 6:30. Seasonal needs and operational requirements might require work outside standard hours. Compensation will be commensurate with experience and industry standards.
Qualifications:
Previous retail sales experience preferred, with accompanying references.
Fly fishing experience is not required, outdoor recreation experience preferred but not required.
