At Fly South, you can turn all of that old stuff into new gear…and we do all the work for you. Just stop by the shop to drop off any items you’d like to sell and we’ll take care of the rest. Once the old gear is sold, all of the proceeds turn into store credit for use on anything in the shop. Fly rods to tying gear, waders to reels. Anything.

• Q: How are you going to sell my old stuff??

  • We sell your gear on our eBay account. We have hundreds of positive reviews and a 100% Positive seller rating. We have many folks all over the world who are repeat buyers from our account.

• Q: How much will my gear sell for?

  • Used gear can vary, but we research sold items of similar condition, brand, and vintage, and can provide you with a ballpark value prior to listing. We also will request a minimum amount you’d like to achieve.

• Q: How much store credit will I receive?

  • All of the proceeds of the sale will be applied to your store credit. This is the amount after eBay’s transactional fees. We list all items with a buyer-paid shipping fee so proceeds aren’t reduced by shipping costs.

• Q: How long will it take to sell my stuff?

  • Well, we’ve had some items sell within hours, and some things take a relisting to get sold. We typically list as 7 day auctions. A fairly safe bet is 2-3 weeks after listing funds are applied to your store credit. If items require subsequent relisting it could take a little longer.

• Q: Can I just get cash for my stuff?

  • Short answer, no. While we have at times provided cash for sales, these are typically estate liquidations, and we have a 30% fee for these sales. Our Gear-Trade in program only provides store credit for sales.
