Women in Fly Fishing 201 Class

Date: Jen Ripple of Dun Magazine will be joining us with our second series of Women in Fly Fishing Classes. 201 will cover, tools and Gear, Specific Line set-ups as well as some advanced casting instruction. $25/person and proceeds go to Casting for a Cure.

Fly Tying 101

Troy Basso, local guide, writer and signature fly tier for Catch Flies, will be teaching a how-to on fly tying. This class will get you started tying with some confidence and teach you how to use certain tools to make tying more enjoyable.

Freshwater Big Game

Our in house big game junkie Guy Davenport will be teaching some of his favorite and most productive flies he ties for Smallmouth, Striper and Muskelunge.

Fly Tying for Tailwaters

Buckley Lewis, our specialized fly tying manager, will be teaching some of the most productive and “must have” flies for any tailwater you may happen to step in.

Fly Tying- High Impact Inshore

Troy Basso, local guide, writer and signature fly tier for Catch Flies, will be teaching flies that stand up to hard use and high numbers of fish. If you want to learn how to tie a more sturdy fly, this is the class for you.

Our very own Jim Mauries will be teaching how he ties his beautiful poppers as well as how to use the Copic Airbrush, this is one of my favorite new tools on my tying bench.
