Beginning Spey/Switch Casting: Sunday, March 29
This full day class will focus on the fundamentals of casting a two-handed fly rod. Chris will also talk about lines and leaders that in the Spey world can be very confusing. If you don’t already own a spey/switch rod not to worry, we will have rods that you can use. If you already own a two-hander make sure you bring it, we will have a full line set to help you dial in your grain weight. Lunch provided. Class is limited to 6 students. Cost: $135.00
Intermediate/Advanced Spey Casting: Saturday, March 28
This full day class will focus on dialing in your spey cast and moving you up to the next level. Students will review some basic casts to warm up, and then move onto learning more advanced casts. We will also cover more in depth line/leader/sinking heads/tips etc. so the confusion of what/when/how/why of rigging isn’t such a mystery. Lunch provided. Class is limited to 6 students. Cost: $135.00

In the mid 1990’s Tournament Casting he won 1st in several regional tours while ranking 1st for distance casting in Canada and 4th overall in North America. Chris has broken over 10 IGFA world records and has been invited for numerous TV appearances. He has participated in a G. Loomis World Meeting where his expertise was required for input on new rod designs. Chris is Canada’s top casting expert and can be seen performing casting demonstrations across Canada and the United States. He has also been a full-time contributor to Fly Fusion magazine for the past two years and is a partner in Double Haul Productions (www.doublehaul.com), a video production company featuring adventure fishing and travel.
Chris’ uniqueness is that he is humble and realizes that there is so much more to learn and see, if only there were enough time.

This class will teach basic skills but not cover the variety of patterns or techniques of our multi-section class. The class cost is $55.00 and is limited to 7 students. All tools and materials are provided. Contact Fly South at 615-341-0420 or at email@example.com to get signed up.
